Scaling on Vinted: when to stop queueing at the Post Office

5 min read · Shiplo Guides

Vinted started as a place to clear your wardrobe, but a growing number of UK sellers now run it as a real business — sourcing stock, listing daily, and shipping dozens of parcels a week. The bottleneck is always the same: every sale means a trip to a drop-off point, and at volume that becomes your whole afternoon.

The maths of doing it yourself

Twenty parcels a day at even four minutes each — packing, labelling, queueing, dropping off — is well over an hour daily before you have listed a single new item. Serious Vinted sellers make money by listing and sourcing; every hour spent at the Post Office is an hour not doing either.

How fulfilment works for Vinted sellers

Your stock lives at the warehouse, photographed and listed by you as usual. When an item sells, the warehouse picks it, packs it in your preferred style, applies the Vinted label and hands it to the courier the same day — dropping your handling time to hours and your Post Office trips to zero.

Fast, reliable dispatch also feeds your reviews. Vinted buyers rate the experience, and "arrived quickly, well packaged" reviews compound into more sales.

When it starts to pay for itself

As a rough rule: if you ship more than 10–15 Vinted parcels a day, or you have ambitions to, the time you buy back typically outweighs the pick fee. Below that, self-fulfilment is usually still the right call — no good 3PL should pressure you before the volume justifies it.

Shiplo ships for high-volume Vinted sellers with same-day dispatch and no minimum volumes.
