Does eBay have a fulfilment service? "Fulfilled by eBay" and eBay warehouses, explained

5 min read · Shiplo Guides

Sellers moving from Amazon often ask the same question: is there a "Fulfilled by eBay"? Where are the eBay warehouses, and how do I send my stock there? The short answer is that eBay does not work like Amazon. Here is what actually exists, and what UK sellers do instead.

eBay does not hold your stock

Amazon runs its own network of fulfilment centres and will store, pick and ship your products for a fee (FBA). eBay is a marketplace, not a warehouse operator. It does not have distribution centres that accept sellers’ inventory, and there is no general "Fulfilled by eBay" badge in the UK that works like Prime.

eBay has, at times, offered a branded fulfilment programme delivered by a third-party logistics partner, open to a limited set of sellers. For the vast majority of UK sellers it is not something you can simply sign up to. So when you search "eBay warehouse locations", you are really asking: who is going to pack my eBay orders?

What eBay does provide

What eBay gives you is the tooling around dispatch, not the dispatch itself:

  • Discounted postage labels bought through eBay (Royal Mail, Evri and others) with tracking uploaded automatically
  • Handling-time and estimated-delivery promises shown to buyers, which you are measured against
  • Seller performance metrics, where late dispatch and missing tracking cost you Top Rated status and search placement
  • Simple Delivery and similar schemes that standardise postage for buyers, but still rely on you to pack and hand over the parcel

Your three real options as a UK eBay seller

Because eBay will not pack for you, every seller lands on one of three set-ups:

  • Do it yourself: fine up to a few dozen orders a day, but every working day needs a cut-off, printing, packing and a courier drop
  • Hire help in-house: a part-timer and a spare room, which works until stock outgrows the room or someone is off sick
  • Use a 3PL: a fulfilment warehouse holds your stock, picks and packs every order, dispatches same day and records the tracking, which is what keeps your eBay metrics green

What a 3PL should do for eBay specifically

eBay rewards speed and punishes silence. The right partner dispatches orders received before the daily cut-off the same working day, records a tracking number against every order, and keeps your available quantity accurate so a listing never oversells. Ask any 3PL you talk to about their cut-off, how tracking gets back to eBay, and what happens the day after a bank holiday.

Shiplo fulfils eBay orders from a UK warehouse alongside TikTok Shop, Vinted, Etsy, Shopify and Amazon merchant-fulfilled orders, all from one shared stock pool. There is no monthly fee, small inventories are stored free, and you can see every shipment and remaining unit in your own online login.
